Red and white flags have been an integral part of Union's matches since the club's founding. They were first seen in the fan section during the 1968 cup final, and the sea of flags began to appear in the 1970s. The fan and membership department aims to increase the presence of flags in the stadium and has implemented designs from fans in collaboration with the club. Proudly waving red and white flags are a part of Union and football at the An der Alten Försterei stadium.
